Marching boldly into a thrilling saga, singing, feasting, swashbuckling, and battling. Questing for the infamous ship Greenshroud, crewed by Searats and Corsairs, Captained by the murderous Razzid Wearat, terror of both sea and land. His aim, the conquest of an Abbey! Was there ever such a blood and thunder chase? The fate of Abbot Thibb and his Redwallers hangs in the balance. Who will be first to the gates, who can save the legendary Abbey from the clutches of a Wearat? On, to victory or death!

==Plot==
On the way to invade Redwall, Razzid Wearat and his crew ambush and kill a few young hares from Salamandastron. The Long Patrol's tracker observes that Wearat's ship had wheels and is moving on land; she urges Lady Violet, the current Badgerlady, to summon her forces. They eventually see the ship firsthand but do not have a navy to combat it. At the request of the veteran from the North, Rake Nightfur, he makes an embassy with the Rogue Crew, a troop of sanguine and utterly fearless sea-otters.
Meanwhile at Redwall, Abbot Thibb chides young Uggo Wiltud, a hedgehog, for his gluttony. But Uggo, while sick after gobbling a cake, has the prognostication that the ship will come to Redwall. Jum Gurdy, the otter cellarkeeper who recognizes the accuracy of Uggo's vision of the Wearat's ship, decides to consult his uncle and take Uggo along with him to find allies around the land.
As the Long Patrollers race to protect Redwall, an epic confrontation occurs between the Wearat's host and the Rogue Crew/Long Patrol/Redwallers. Happening only five times throughout the series up to the Rogue Crew (in ''Redwall'', ''Mattimeo'', ''Marlfox'', ''Loamhedge'' and ''The Sable Quean''), the enemy manages to make their way into the Abbey.
